Counselling can offer a way to work through strong emotions. These feelings may be related to issues of the past which are being experienced in the here and now or perhaps a present situation which is proving hard to cope with or reaching a resolution.
What are you noticing? is it a sense of sadness, fear, anger or perhaps experiencing low self-esteem.
Talking and exploring the problem creating difficulty in ones life, brings the potential to discover fresh awareness about the self and the situation.
For you the client, I offer a safe confidential space for you to explore your concern. In your process of exploration I will work with you on your journey of self-understanding and communicate acceptance with a client lead focus. I will support you as you unravel the problem to find clarity and understanding through your own authentic answers.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a professional organisation for a good standard of practice.
This means I work with a code of ethics to ensure the safety of the clients I work with. In addition, I adhere to confidentiality and disclosure, engage in supervision and continued personal development.
How I work with clients is based on an integrative approach with a non-directive stance. Integrating a person-centred focus with influences of Gestalt and Transactional Analysis, seeing the importance of the client and the therapeutic relationship. Phenomenological working with the client in creative ways to holistically see the whole person.

The word Reiki integrates two characteristics:
Rei - Universal, cosmic energy, source of life
Ki - Personal life force energy or vitality; the fundamental life force flowing and pulsating in all living things (chi or prana)
Reiki is a Japanese word used to describe universal life force energy. It is a healing art originally known as Usui Reiki Ryoho or Usui Reiki discovered by Dr Mikao Usui in the 19th century.
Reiki has no connection to religion, it simply requires a willingness to receive and experience the healing energy available to us.
For you the clients, I connect with Reiki energy through meditation, symbols, and mantras, along with the intention for healing for the recipients highest well-being prior to starting Reiki.
The process initiates a visceral connection with Reiki energy which flows through the palms of the hands supported by intuitive guidance.
Recipients are fully clothed during the Reiki process and may prefer to be lying down or seated when receiving Reiki.
Reiki has been known for the following benefits:
Supporting the body's own natural resources
Strengthening the immune system
Ease muscle tension
Sense of Peacefulness
Generally, I offer 60minutes of Reiki at a time. However, I am flexible. We can work together to tailor to your needs. The number of sessions required is based on your own your experience of Reiki and your requirement.
Distance Reiki is also available as an option for clients who prefer to receive Reiki in the comfort of their own home. However, due to coronavirus I will only be offering distance healing until further notice.
I believe Reiki is another form of self-care giving you exactly what you need. Reiki gives us permission to take time for ourselves to rejuvenate and heal from the stresses of everyday life.
Main modality is Usui Reiki Ryoho. Although, I also offer Reiki and Seichem healing with Violet Flame embracing the elements of air, water and fire.
If you would like to book an appointment or would like further information please get in touch.
Disclaimer: Please be advised Reiki is not a replacement for medical treatment. Reiki can be used as an enhancer to compliment other forms of treatments as well as being received on it own.
